Leslie Harding Pde was a a playwright, writer, translator, and humourist who wrote over 20 books and translated the “Bhagavad Gita,” “Ramayana,” “Mahabharat,” and “Upanishads” into Khasi. He also wrote the first Khasi sitcom, “Ki Kam U Bah Besbha,” which debuted on television as a TV serial. He served as the Meghalaya government commissioner and passed away on at the age of 79. He was best known for his portrayal of Bah Best-Bha. He was also one of the country’s oldest radio jockeys.

Streamlet Dkhar is a professor of Khasi Dept in NEHU Shillong. She has been the HOD of Khasi Dept twice i.e 2008-2011 and 2014-2017. She is an acclaimed writer and poet who writes both in Khasi and English. She represented the Khasi Literature in various conference in the country and abroad. She has received a number of awards.
